Zest Personal Development is committed to ensuring that any personal data you provide is treated with care and respect, held securely and only used for the purposes for which it has been provided. Information will be kept in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR 2016) and the Data Protection Act (DPA 2018).

This notice outlines the conditions under which we may process your personal information. In the context of this notice, “process” means collect, store, transfer, use or otherwise act on information.

WHAT INFORMATION WE PROCESS

  • Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you via email, telephone, text, social media, website, video call or in person

  • This information could include name, address, email address, date of birth, phone number or any other information you choose to give

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We may use the information you have given us in order to:

  • Contact you in relation to matters for which you are engaged with Zest Personal Development as a current or prospective client, associate or provider

  • Obtain your consent, eg for taking photographs or videos

  • Carry out assessments of your wellbeing

  • Gather feedback about your experiences, in order to learn from and improve the service we provide

  • Under GDPR 2016, the lawful basis on which we rely for processing your information are:

    • Consent – you are able to remove your consent at any time by contacting meg@zestpersonaldeveopment.co.uk

    • Contractual Obligation - when you create an account on our website, buy a product or service from us, or otherwise agree to our terms and conditions, a contract is formed between you and us. This may result in the processing of your data in order to provide you with our services, respond to queries, provide advice etc

    • Legal Obligation – like everyone else, we are subject to the law and must therefore process your information in order to comply with all statutory obligations, for example, requests from legal authorities.

  • In an emergency situation, relevant personal details may be passed to the emergency services

 

HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION

Your information will be stored in a secure manner as follows:

  • Paper-based data will be kept in locked drawers or cabinets.

  • Electronica data will be held securely on cloud-based systems. All electronic devices have virus protection software, are password protected and mobile devices, such as laptops, are encrypted.

  • Data will be stored for no longer than necessary – generally until a request for removal has been received or until it can reasonably be assumed that the paperwork is no longer required.

  • Where data retention is required by a specific funding body, eg European Social Fund, Skills Funding Agency, Big Lottery, etc, data will be retained in line with their requirements.

  • Right of Access – you have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information

  • Right to Rectification – you have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate or to ask us to complete information that you think is incomplete

  • Right to Erasure – you have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances

  • Right to Restrict – you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances

  • Right to Object – you have the right to object to processing of your personal data in certain circumstances

  • Right to complain – you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ if you are unhappy with how we have used your data
